The teen substance abuse treatment program is designed to empower young people with the tools and skills they need to lead a fulfilling life that does not include drugs and alcohol. We empower teens by instilling positive coping mechanisms and life skills that support a clean and sober lifestyle.
Adolescent IOP (AIOP) operates as an after-school program; this allows teens to continue to attend their own school during the day and return to their home in the evening while still receiving treatment in a structured and supportive environment. Your teen will participate in a clinical assessment that will identify their specific needs. Based on their assessment, they will attend both group and individual sessions 3 to 5 days per week. As the teen progresses through treatment, the number of weekly visits will decrease.
During the group and individual sessions, our staff works to help our teen process any challenges that may arise such as triggers, urges, emotional obstacles, and other issues that may impact their recovery. They have the opportunity to try coping strategies they learn in treatment while at home and in school. If they have difficulty implementing coping strategies, we can continue to assist them successfully implement these strategies during treatment.
